Most of us were never taught to listen — only to respond. This workshop is a structured, evidence-grounded skill-building session for individual leaders and managers. It gives you practical tools for the quality of listening that builds trust, reduces reactive decision-making, and makes real collaboration possible.

This is not a team training or a corporate workshop. It is a professional development session for people who lead — and who want to lead better.

Most of us were never taught to listen. We were taught to respond — quickly, confidently, usefully. This workshop addresses what that costs. Attuned Listening is the foundation skill for psychological safety: the structured capacity to hear what someone is actually experiencing, and to respond in a way that builds rather than erodes trust.

WHO IS THIS FOR

This session is designed for managers, team leads, HR professionals, and anyone in a leadership role navigating difficult conversations, team dynamics, or moments of disclosure. It works as a standalone professional development session and as Session 1 of the Greenhouse EQ Development Series.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS LEAVE WITH

  • A clear model for what attuned listening is — and how it differs from simply being quiet

  • Three concrete practices and awareness of personal listening barriers.

  • The THINK Response Filter: a tool for choosing how and whether to respond

  • One behavioural commitment for the 14 days after the workshop
