GREENHOUSE FRAMEWORK

ABOUT THE PRACTICE

Most systems fail at the moment of contact — when people are not accurately understood.
We work to change that.

Greenhouse is a counseling and coaching practice based in Amsterdam. The work is built around a single premise: that presence is a discipline, and that learning to listen with accuracy and care is one of the most consequential things a leader — or a team — can do.

We bring that discipline into organizations through the Attuned Listening methodology, and into communities through the Greenhouse container model. Both begin from the same place: the moment of contact, and what happens there.

01

Attuned Listening

A practical workshop methodology for leaders and teams. Builds the listening discipline that creates psychological safety, reduces reactive decision-making, and makes real collaboration possible.

02

Leadership EQ Index

A diagnostic tool that measures emotional intelligence as it shows up in real conversations — not as a fixed trait, but as a teachable, measurable set of leadership behaviors.

03

Executive Coaching

One-to-one coaching for leaders navigating complexity, transition, or growth. Grounded in presence, it works at the level where strategy, identity, and inner life converge.

04

Integrated Leadership Development

Workshops that draw on somatic, psychological, and whole-person frameworks — for leaders who want to develop not just their skills, but their capacity.

THE CORE MODEL

R

Regulate

Stay grounded before and during a conversation so you can actually hear — not just react.

I

Inquire

Ask clarifying questions instead of jumping to interpretation or advice. Curiosity over conclusion.

R

Reflect

Check what you heard against what was actually said. Separate signal from story.

A

Advance

Choose how and whether to respond in a way that builds safety and moves the conversation forward.

Advance

PRACTICAL TOOLS

90-Second Reset

A grounding practice that creates space between stimulus and response — used before and during high-stakes conversations.

Reflect Before Respond

A structured pause that prevents reactive listening patterns and improves the quality of feedback and decision-making.

Signal vs Story

A practice for separating what someone actually communicated from the interpretation you layered over it.

THINK Response Filter

A decision framework for choosing how — and whether — to respond. Especially useful in disclosure and difficult conversations.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS LEAVE WITH

Shared language

A framework the whole team can reference — immediately, in real situations, without needing a refresher.

Concrete Tools

Four practical practices they can use the same day. Not theory. Not a handout they'll file away.

Barrier Awareness

A clear picture of their own listening patterns — reactive responses, assumptions, emotional flooding.

Safer Conversations

The conditions for earlier issue reporting, cleaner conflict, and better disclosure conversations.

Feedback Language

Ways to give and receive feedback without pathologizing or shutting people down.

Next Steps

Each participant leaves with one behavioral commitment for the following 14 days.

HR & People Leaders

Teams designing the conditions for psychological safety across the organization.

Managers & Team Leads

Leaders who support neurodiverse colleagues and navigate complex team dynamics.

NGO & Nonprofit Staff

Mission-driven teams working in high-pressure or emotionally demanding environments.

DEI & Culture Leads

People building inclusion frameworks who want them to actually land in practice.

WHO THIS IS FOR

THE PRACTITIONER

Presence as
a
discipline
for growth.

Rachel Woodroof is the founder of Greenhouse Counseling & Coaching, based in Amsterdam. Her work sits at the intersection of psychological safety, conscious leadership, and neuroinclusion.

She practices the discipline of presence — not as a concept, but as a methodology. The Attuned Listening framework is the structural expression of that practice: a transferable, teachable skill for leaders and teams.

Rachel works with mid-sized organizations, NGOs, and mission-driven teams who want the quality of their internal relationships to match the quality of their external purpose.
